Convince Your List To Take Action

Almost all of you have now heard that the money is in the list. While this is true there are key steps involved in making YOUR list successful. In this post I will be addressing some of the biggest keys that will get your list to take action on what you have to offer them.

Depending on your audience depends on how you write to them. When you talk with someone they rarely talk in full sentences, correct punctuation, dictionary type words and if they did you would more then likely look at them a bit strangely. So throw out that English text book, talk to your list as you would talk to them face to face. Now this all depends on who is in your list and the subject on hand. If your list is about new game releases your going to be talking to a large part of teenagers so you can afford some crazy words and run on sentences. If you are looking for a more professional list of network marketing you may want to keep the run on sentences to a minimum.

You know you do have a personality everyone does but what many list builders fail to do is let that show. Laugh a little, tell stories people love them! Build up your list into a person “you” they get to know as a real person just like them. Your sales letters should consist of a few key parts and those are.

The Star – This is either a person or character but the most common is your self. It could also be someone else who has used your products with great success.

The Story – The best sales letters have a story based around the star. Be it someone who has used your product with much success or a story of your success people love to hear stories its sparks interest. Always keep this in mind, If you where in a class room and your professor just read clear text and to the point on everything for the whole class how much of this information would you retain before you where so bored you lost focus? I would guess not very long! Let me tell you a story, When I went to Atlanta George to take my A+, Network + and Security + from comp TIA I had one of the greatest teaches I could have ever hoped for. He kept the class alive by sharing stories and making us laugh. The classes where 8 hours long for 2 weeks straight you can imagine the shear about of information that was learned in this time frame. I learned more in that class in those 2 weeks then I ever learned in my 4 years of college! Why? Because the teacher kept my interests up, kept me wanting to learn more and more and even after those 8 hours of class I stuck around just to talk with him to learn even more. Getting your readers to know you and keeping their interest up is going to keep sales flowing day after day.

The Solution – Now that you have accomplished getting their attention and a story that has to do with a problem it is now time to hit them with the solution and this is where your product or service comes in. Every product was and is created to take a problem and fix it or to make some type of task faster and easier. Be to the point here and make it well know what this service or product is going to do for them.
